Name and Identify Fractions

Today I was learning how to name and identify fractions I knew a lot about it but I wanted to recap on it. So what I had to do was I would get a square and some of it was shaded and what you had to do was find out how much there were and I got 100 out of 100. It even said” I am bowled with how smart you are!” and that made my day.

Swimming sports

Today we had swimming sports I was in competitive with 6 other people.We had to do Butterfly,Breaststroke,backstroke and freestyle.I lost two times and won 2 times.I lost in Backstroke and butterfly and won in freestyle and breaststroke.At the end we had to see who could stay under the water the longest but Ashley didn't want to do it so I went and did it for the class.

Tamaki River Family Tree

We drew a tree of the tamaki river because the Omaru Creek is a branch of the Tamaki River.We found out that the Tamaki River started in Middlemore and ends in Waitemata Harbour.We are studying on the Omaru Creek so know we know more about the creek and where it connects too.

Cabbage trees and Bulrushs

On Thursday we did some art.We did this because around the Omaru Creek there was Cabbage trees and Bulrush plants.This was based on the Omaru Creek because that is our topic study.Most of the class did the Cabbage tree because it is easy but it wasn't. We tried to do a sunset but it was purple.This was fun but I  did have alot of Mistakes.

Volleyball Skills

This morning we were using online tools.We used it for calculating mean on the google spreadsheet.We also got to see what it looked like on a graph.It was easy enough because I am normally use a device.We got to use sigma to see what the average was.It was good using device because then we don't have to waste time drawing bar graphs and other graphs.

Dragonfly Art

Today we were working on Dragonfly art.We did this because when the Omaru Creek attracts dragonflies it is a healthy creek.This is 3D work so we worked with wire.We had some different ways of doing this.

Get NZ writing-Package Opened

This morning we all gathered on the floor after swimming to see what was inside our package.It was a medium sized package that was sent from Grey Main school in the south islands to New Zealand .We saw what they liked the sound of and what’s the best about their school and they had people from the Philippines and the US.They sent us postcards and other nice things.They found the longest word it was so long you could not read it.Thank you for this package.

Grey Main School

For the last week we have been working on this package to send to Grey Main school in the south island.We are waiting to receive their package.We have sent them things to tell them who we are.We are apart of get new zealand writing programme and it has 3000 schools in this programme.

I glanced at the brown,soft,chocolate that was cooling down with that rich,buttery chocolate smell.I could hear the air bubbles popping from a distance.As I was going to do my work that soft, warm lava cake shot everywhere with that smell. I recognized faces of disgust, fright and worry. The feeling of the textured,warm,buttery feeling shot into my hand as it went in. It shot down my esophagus it melted as quick as ice in a desert.

Statistical Investigation

Walt:  conduct a statistical investigation.

We used google maps to determine the walking  distance to 124 Apirana Avenue. This is the entrance to the Omaru Creek that we are studying. The screenshot shows the route, distance and time from my house to the creek. Furthest was Zain he had to walk 4.8km and it takes him 59 minutes to get there Jolie was the closest she had 550m and it takes here 7 minutes to get there.

Harrison lives in East Tamaki so we told him to start from the glen innes train station and it also took him 550m and 7 minutes to get there.Next, we will be calculating the mean and the median.

Berries Descriptive Paragraph

I glared as the bag came slowly but is getting closer and closer you could smell the fruity,citrus smell coming from the bag you could feel the bag crunching and ruffling but soft as fluff next to you.It felt like a cold,lcy feeling that you would have from the freezer as you reached in. So small but so textured as you put it in your mouth you softly get a taste of nothing but a sweet and pleasant sourness.
