On Tuesday I think was really fun with Miss Lammas. The butter making was amazing. Having to make butter when you were young would take about 4 hours but what they did to make the butter go faster was sing a little song. What you would say was “ Come Butter Come” You would start of in a whisper and then get louder and louder and you would keep on saying it over and over again imagine saying this for 4 hours what!. But once our butter was on a butter shape and it was nice and round we added G.I on top to show that it was our butter.
I am a Year 8 student at Glen Innes School in Auckland, New Zealand. I am in Room 6 and my teacher is Miss Donaldson.

Maths T2W9: Rhombus
Walht: Identify and draw a rhombus
Vocabulary
2D or 3D, parallel, diagonal, opposite, bisect, polygon, specialised,
arrows, right angles, parallelogram, degrees |
This weeks maths we used the seven sisters or stars of Matariki. We drawed a rhombus connecting to the stars. Here are three things about the rhombus.
- The rhombus can be a 2D or a 3D shape
- The opposite side of the rhombus is parallel
- The rhombus is a specialised shape.
I think that I wouldn't use these words often in my opinion but I really want to get used to them so I would want to learn more.

Matariki - Best qualities of my family
Who I want to be? I’ve never really thought about who I want to be. I think that being myself is the best plan. Being myself won’t be bad I think because I will have my up’s and downs but it will all be okay with my family around me.
My family helps with a lot especially with sport. Let's start with my aunty. My aunty is very kind and nice. She helps with anything food, clothes, playing for sport and anything else. Then there's my uncle he does a lot for us kids. He takes his time to coach my sisters team my team and everyone else. it’s mind blowing. Theres also my mom she helps with sport as well. She helps with netball, tag and touch everything you can think of. That is how you know we are a family.
A lot of people have seen me as my two older sisters. The first oldest is Venessa a lot of people think that we are the same because we are always together, then there is my older sister Britney. A lot of people some times even call us twins (Eww) Me and my sister does sport together and we like to be outdoors. When her friends see me they always say “your so cute Britney whats her name and is this you sister she looks just like you” it’s everywhere because she has friends everywhere (I mean everywhere).
The place that I think that I would look to go is the Cook Islands. I have only been the the Cook Islands once (When I was a baby). I have been there for at least 1 week but I can’t remember anything. It will be amazing because my nana tells us stories everyday so if we were in the wild we would know what to do.
My favourite time of the year. Well I don’t have a favourite time of the year but next year I would think is the best (2018). We are going to be at a reunion. It’s going to be the best because we get to do a million sports (YEAA). We get to do Handball, kayaking, basketball and so much more.

Writing-Emotions: Highlanders vs Lions
Walht: Show not tell emotions.
Writing-Emotions: Highlanders vs Lions
The Lions all had no emotions left at the end of the game. They were all disheartened. The frowns on their faces and their crying showed no sportsmanship in this game. Of course they had their hands on their head looking straight at the ground. Well, the Lions breathed slowly in and out, talked to the other players and shook hands with the other team.” They all looked miserable. The captain comforted them by putting his arm around his players and saying “There’s always next time.”
The Highlanders had the biggest smiles on their faces. They all were hugging, throwing their hands in the air and jumping up and down. They laughed and screamed with their heads held high, running to shake the other team's hands. They were all overjoyed, glad and ecstatic. Everyone was running and dancing through the air as they were heading to the changing rooms. As the fans screamed and cheered the Highlanders waved energetically.

Visualising - Reading T2W7
WALHT: Think about the images we “see” as we read.
This image is ingredients for a pizza and a pizza but all together. Pacman loves this pizza and it’s amazing with different kinds of taste on his pizza.
We are learning how to make pictures and movies in our mind which is called visualising. This reading task I understand especially the 5 senses. Jolie and I were discussing it on the mat and we can see clues that are hard to find. I would like to learn more about visualising because it can help with texts and making pictures or movies.
