The food’s journey to the large intestine.
Do you know what goes on in your body well I don’t either but I know a little about what is happening so if you want to know what is going on in your body here it is.
So do you know what your teeth and saliva do well your teeth crushes down the food into little pieces and you're saliva softens your food so it can go down.
The esophagus is 2 muscles pushing your food down slowly because if it goes down all at once then you take a step your food would just come back up and out of your mouth so you need to have the 2 muscles there to help.
The stomach is full of gastric acid and if you put your hand down your esophagus and it goes into your stomach where your acid is it could burn your hand. You probably think that wouldn't the acid burn your stomach well there is a thick skin that can hold your acid in and when the food comes down the acid will turn it into liquid .
The small intestine breaks down the food even more so that the body can absorb all the good stuff, with the help of the liver, pancreas and gallbladder.
The large intestine is the last chance to take the water and minerals into the blood therefore the stuff that cannot be absorbed turns hard which then turns into poop.
